The Bakehouse
The Bakehouse is thought to be the original 13th Century farmhouse and retains many period features including the old fireplace, bread oven and smoking oven still intact in the sitting room.
It looks out on one side to a delightful walled garden and on the other to the courtyard adjoining Leigh House and The Barn.
The rest of the accommodation has been fully restored to provide a two-bedroom self-contained cottage that can be used on a self-catering basis or as bed-and-breakfast with your own lounge.
It consists of a double and a treble bedroom, plus a sitting room with sofa bed, bathroom and kitchen. It is centrally heated and the kitchen is fully equipped with gas and microwave cooking. Altogether, the Bakehouse can sleep up to seven. Bed-linen & towels are provided, so all you need to bring are your provisions.
The Bakehouse is available for weekends or short breaks throughout the year, whereas many self-catering establishments only offer short breaks out of season.
